When you have a pet to look after, you can sometimes feel guilty going away without them. Taking your dog away with you can be a fun adventure, especially if you choose one of the British seaside towns, however, if you are looking to venture overseas you will have to find someone to take care of your dog.
Dog kennels are always an option, just make sure you have done your research and read reviews regarding the care the animals receive. Kennels can be pricey for those looking to go away for a week or two, so you will need to factors this into your savings/ budget.
Alternatively, you could ask a friend or relative to dog sit for you, that way your pooch will remain in their own environment, causing less stress to them. You could offer to pay for their service, which would be dramatically less than the previous option of kennels.
